Landscape architecture is a very interesting career to get into. It has a lot to do with plants and design. The book that I read was mainly about the process of making your landscape perfect. It gives you tips about the right level process for your yard, to the right selection of flowers to choose for your garden. This book is very helpful if you are trying to remodel your yard. Some helpful things I read about was the right way to level your yard, how to repair things instead of tearing them down, and also the right selection of flowers.
Leveling your yard was one of the most important things to do first. The yard needs to be level there for no water can pile up and ruin parts of the yard. Starting at your house, the level of your yard should go downhill running away from your house. That way it saves your plants and your basement. In my opinion this tip is really helpful because if you go and spend a lot of money on your yard and forget this step, you’re in for a rude awakening.
Another important tip would be save all plants and materials that could be used again instead of getting rid of everything and wasting more money than necessary. Everybody wants to save money right? Say you have a nice brick walkway that has acouple falling and broking bricks. Just repair them and make them stronger and sturdier. That way it won’t fall apart again.
After all the important stuff is done you pick the theme for the flowers. This step is really important because you not only have to worry about what the flowers look like when they are bloomed, about also what they look like in the winter and other seasons. Theres a lot to think about in planning a beautiful landscape.
